Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Team Leader to assist and manage a team of Credit Analysts and is keen to provide ongoing support and coaching to ensure that their team is successful together. The Team Leader supports the Credit Manager in ensuring the effective and efficient day-to-day operations of the credit team are in line with Stellar’s purposes and provide excellent customer service all the time. The Team Leader is responsible for monitoring and developing the daily services and performance of the Credit Analysts.

Work hours 6:00am – 2:00pm.

To be eligible to apply, you must have 2+ years Australian mortgage industry experience.

Work experience and skills

  • 2+ years Australian mortgage industry experience is a must
  • Strong knowledge of credit assessment and loan processing of Australian residential home loans
  • Familiarity with relevant Australian regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Strong knowledge of various Aggregators’ CRM i.e. Mercury (M5 & Nexus), Infinity, Podium, Flex, MyCRM, Salestrekker and ApplyOnline
  • Experience in other Aggregator CRM systems is highly regarded
  • Highly analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills
  • Strong time management skills & excellent at multitasking

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support, coach and lead a group of credit team members;
  • Monitoring workflow on a regular basis to ensure it is appropriate throughout the team
  • Foster a collaborative work environment to maximise team productivity and morale;
  • Work collaboratively with the Credit Manager sharing observations/findings for team Development / Training programmes;
  • Facilitate the credit training and provide ongoing mentoring to trainees
  • Oversee the assessment and data entry of trainee credit analysts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with lender’s policies and procedures;
  • Provide guidance to team members on challenging applications;
  • Ensure the department reporting requirements are prepared and processed in a timely manner if needed
  • Completion of application calculations, assessment criteria, and scenario workshopping and provide recommendations to the mortgage brokers
  • Preparation of application to ensure the information provided is in line with the aggregator and lender’s lending policy
  • Data entry and lodgement including CRM data entry and lender Apply Online data entry and uploading supporting documents
  • Preparation of FHOG form and Discharge Form (if required)
  • File management and follow ups until settlement
  • Ad-hoc duty when required

  • Advanced proficiency in basic computer skills
