Qualifications and Required Skills:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science and/or related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, applications support and/or network engineering
  • Public cloud platform experience (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
  • Knowledge of access and control management of a .Net Environment
  • Experience with Cybersecurity processes and platforms, such as Barracuda, MDM, etc.
  • Microsoft Azure and similar technology experience

Job Description

Due to Company growth, we are actively seeking a Manager- IT Infrastructure to join us in Nepal office to support our US team. The K&A Engineering Consulting, P.C. (K&A) is seeking a Manager of Global IT Infrastructure & Enterprise Applications, Digital Workplace and Cybersecurity who will be responsible for managing the technology infrastructure, enterprise applications, digital workplace components and cybersecurity processes and procedures for K&A. K&A’s global infrastructure and digital workplace team provides IT services to K&A departments and employees such as network and server support and maintenance, enterprise applications support and maintenance, email and internet security and access, mobile device connectivity, data integrity and information security including backups, and employee workstation support. This also includes management of K&A’s IT Help Desk team (including monthly metrics and analytics) as well as support of K&A’s other Help Desks (e.g., Finance, Fleet, HR, Safety).  It should be noted that operating in the utilities sector, K&A works with sensitive power grid information and requires strict adherence to the highest cybersecurity standards; therefore, experience in this area is critical.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Manager IT Infrastructure services include but are not limited to the following:

 Overall

 

  • Ensure that the global IT team supports and is in alignment with K&A’s vision, mission, values, and goal
  • Coordinate with K&A’s global business operations team on IT strategy, initiatives, and overall performance
  • Establish IT processes and procedures that ensure K&A meets our client’s infrastructure, hardware/software, and cybersecurity requirements
  • Manage vendor SLAs, report metrics and analytics and identify any Service Level Agreement discrepancies
  • Work with K&A Communications to effectively communicate K&A’s IT vision and plan to the workforce
  • Facilitate communication between management and our internal workforce/customers to ensure an effective approach to implementation of IT solution
  • Identify and promote the use of innovative technologies that will improve K&A’s internal work processes.

 

IT Infrastructure

  • Develop a targeted and streamlined IT infrastructure organization to seamlessly support current K&A global footprint as well as future growth
  • Manage the IT infrastructure resources (team, hardware, software, etc.)
  • Propose and execute key IT infrastructure improvement initiatives
  • Optimize costs of K&A’s global infrastructure and application services through an appropriate mix of internal and external resources

Digital Workplace

  • Lead the design, specification, configuration, installation, and maintenance of global K&A office area network hardware, software, and telecommunication services as well as internet service providers
  • Ensure enterprise application and engineering specific applications connectivity
  • Manage mobile access for enterprise applications
  • Lead the IT team in supporting the design and maintenance of K&A’s intranet
  • Research and make recommendations on hardware and software purchases and negotiate with vendors to ensure cost effective purchasing decisions

Cybersecurity

  • Support global mobile device asset management activities
  • Implement an enterprise-wide information security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s data and servers
  • Implement processes to identify and mitigate information/ cybersecurity risks within K&A
  • Monitor system health/availability and produce monthly audit reports
  • Develop, implement, and lead K&A’s IT security and training programs consistent with policies to support business goals and department requirements
  • Ensure and monitor security compliance as it relates to client requirements or any changes in local, regional and/or U.S. legislation
  • Establish, maintain, and regularly update and test the disaster recovery plan, including periodic tabletop testing
